His Plans

It seems like so much time has passed since we became serious about adopting and we are still no closer; however, the yearning in my heart has only grown stronger. I rest in knowing that God's plans for our family are perfect and that I don't want to interfere. He knows the desire of our heart and maybe that is all He is asking for. I don't think there has been a day since we talked to the kids that one of them have not prayed for "the baby sister we are adopting". We told them there was not much we could for now except trust the Lord to accomplish His plans for us whether they include a sister or not and they have continued to pray for her.

Trusting Him

Well, we are still searching. We are going to make one more attempt at a third agency and see what type of response we get from them. They have a Vietnam program that we would like to learn more about. All we know is that we will trust God's timing and continue to pray for orphans around the world. My eyes have been opened to a reality of just how many helpless children there are - waiting, waiting, and waiting. To look at the pictures of the older children who live in orphanages and think - do they still have hope that one day things could be different? One day they may have a family to love them? Even if we never have the blessing of being able to adopt I would love to take a mission trip to orphanages and just love on them and share Christ with them. We don't even think about how truly blessed we are so much of the time.



Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. James 1:27
